Ryan & Priscila Acton

Since high school when he was called to repentance, Ryan has always believed God was calling him into ministry, specifically mission work. Priscila was born in Portugal, and her father is a pastor there, and she has also felt that God wanted her to serve Him through ministry. She attended university in the US, where she met Ryan, and together they feel that God is calling them to serve as missionaries in her home country of Portugal. 

 

Portugal is a culturally Roman Catholic country, and many people do not know the Gospel or what a relationship with Christ means. They lack Bible literacy, and do not have saving faith and the hope that salvation brings to those who trust in Christ. There are few evangelical churches, and many lack support as they are very small and understaffed. Ryan and Priscila are excited to step into this gap and provide support for the evangelical churches in and around Coimbra, Portugal. Ryan will serve as a church worker while Priscila hopes to encourage young mothers and use her counseling degree to support the church through Biblical counseling.
