Roman & Yaroslava Kenio

Serving at New Hope Ukraine & Jesus Christ Church in Lviv, Ukraine

Roman and Yaroslava met in 2004 in Lviv, where Yaroslava was studying at the music academy and Roman was a worship leader in the church. It was their love of music that brought them together, and they dedicated themselves to active ministry in the church, using music as a tool to reach young people and teenagers.

Roman and Yaroslava also see a great need to minister to married couples, due to extreme challenges faced because of the war in Ukraine. They believe family meetings are a good place to find support, communication, and an impulse for change.

Roman recently completed a Master's degree program at the Seminary, which has given him a deeper understanding of the Scriptures and strengthened his ability to communicate them in his sermons. Together, Roman and Yaroslava are involved in the ministry of “Jesus Christ Church” in Lviv. Jaroslava is also responsible for New Hope Ukraine’s internet evangelism and discipleship program.

The Kenio’s also have a son, Luka. The three of them like to watch cooking shows and then cook something delicious together.
